The 2026–27 school year

What a day with us includes.

The days flow with the children and the weather. Every day includes:

A morning meeting to start the day together
Open play: art, books, building, dramatic play
Time outside, whenever the weather lets us
Snack and a story, all of us together
A circle, with music or a project rooted in the week's theme and curriculum

Two age groups, two or three mornings a week.

Older twos through four-year-olds

Building independence, deep play, getting ready for kindergarten without rushing.

9 am drop-off · 1 pm pick-up

Tue · Thu

Eighteen months through young twos

Gentle routines, early language, motor play. A soft landing into school life.

9 am drop-off · 1 pm pick-up

School year begins August 17, 2026. We follow the Dorchester District 2 calendar.

About Ms. Holly

A small, thoughtful classroom, where children learn through play.

I started teaching Pre-School fifteen years ago, when my own kids were little. It began as a way to earn money while staying home with them. I finished my Associates coursework in Early Childhood Education while running my first program, but when we moved to South Carolina during the pandemic I needed a break and took a couple years off to recharge.

Then a local Montessori school needed some teachers. I took the job, and remembered how much I missed the work.

Ms. Holly's Pre-School brings together everything I've learned over the years. A small classroom, a curriculum I've grown, and the time to notice how each child learns best.
